S'mores pudding shots!


The S'more is known as a Summertime treat. Some of us, learned how to cook our first S'more over a campfire. No one seems to know where the S'more originated, but, I like to think it originated with my Dad, on a camping trip under a starry sky. Other's like to think it originated with the Girl Scouts of America when a recipe was published in a 1927 version of Tramping and Trailing with the Girl Scouts. No one is real sure of who or where it originated, but, everyone is sure it is a delicious treat that aligns with great memories!


S'more purists might insist on a nice campfire, but, the kitchen will suffice, with a hot burner on the cook top or this mimic of a S'more.....no cooking necessary!
I have never understood why pudding has not inspired the same passion as the ever present cupcake???? Pudding is America personified and every bit as interesting and delicious as any other dessert, but for some reason it is not as glorified as some of its peers. Perhaps it's because pudding is not as visually exciting? In an attempt to add a bit of visual flair to puddin', I created a S'mores version that looks great in a clear glass (or glass container). The creamy dark pudding with the marshmallow topping is both tasty and a tad sexy. It’s about time pudding got its groove back!

S'mores Pudding Shots 

This quick and easy dessert takes about 15 minutes-No fire necessary!


Makes about 8-10 servings
  • 1 (3 1/2 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 3/4 cup 2% milk
  • 1/4 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup Marshmallow Fluff

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the chocolate pudding mix and milk until thick and smooth.
  2. Spoon 1 1/2 teaspoons of graham cracker crumbs into the bottom of each mini cordial glass.
  3. Place the pudding mixture into a piping bag fitted with a round tip such as the Wilton 1A or simply snip the corner of a zip top bag. Pipe the pudding mixture using a swirl motion into each glass stopping about 1/2 inch before the rim of glass.
  4. Spoon the Marshmallow Fluff directly onto the pudding mixture. Garnish with graham cracker crumbs
*Optional- torch the marshmallow cream and garnish with a square of a Hershey  bar
