Super Food Spinach Salad

This salad has granny smith apples, toasted pecans, dried cranberries, pomegranite seeds, oranges and feta.  When you flavor it with the homemade sweet and sour poppyseed dressing, it takes it over the top into what’s now my favorite salad incorporating fruit.  If you aren’t a fan of poppy seeds, simply omit it in the dressing (it will still be fabulous!).

This SPINACH based salad will boost the thyroid glands' output of metabolism-reviving hormones!

Serve this fresh salad to your guests as a meal for lunch or side salad for dinner. Full of super foods, this spinach salad is screaming health! If serving for a main, add some chicken or turkey!

I returned from my annual visit to Pearl Laguna a couple weeks ago. If you are Looking for a place to unwind, re-energize, cleanse your mind and body, this is the place. I would not hesitate to recommend The Pearl Laguna. From the moment you arrive in Orange County you will be taken care of. From transportation to meals to great education, yoga, hiking, nutrition and relaxation you will experienced an amazing transformation from toxic exhaustion to energized renewal. The entire staff is superb and every need is accommodated. Prepare to revitalize the body, cleanse the toxic and reconnect with your spirit! The moment you walk through the door, the healing and positive energy of Blue Pearl's founders, Geo and Katresha, embrace you. The first time I had the privilege of going to Pearl was right after Geo and Katresha opened, I was so happy to see two of the most gifted teachers in yoga and meditation finally have a place to guide all those seeking a holistic and balanced approach to wellness. What a gorgeous setting and serene facility! I absolutely love the rooms! Simple and inspired by the beauty of Laguna Beach itself, each room is unique and provides each guest a comfortable place to slow down, breathe deep, and let go. Named after the local beaches of Laguna, you are sure to have a favorite room that you will want to return to again and again. I have never seen a more beautiful yoga room. The large windows let you enjoy the majestic greenery and hillside views which provide a perfect focal point as you practice. The lighting and art create a surreal glow to the room that can't help but provide a sense of the sacred to your time there. And after a vigorous day of yoga and hiking, there is ample time and space to be pampered and reflect during a massage, infrared sauna, or dip in the pool! Katresha ensures that you are more than ready to embrace the next day with delicious cuisine that will serve to nourish and cleanse. Your body will never feel better! After a week of this intensive holistic program, you return to the outside world transformed from the inside out. You also leave with new tools for bringing wellness to your life beyond the walls of The Pearl Laguna. The place and the program are truly extraordinary! Check out the link I provided!
