This Instant Pot Spaghetti Bolognese is perfect if you have busy weeknights where you come home late and find a hungry mate and kiddo's!
I sure wish I had the Instant Pot when my children were young! I was driving to the north 20 minutes with the girls to dance classes, then back pick up the boys and go to the south for football! By that time, it was time to pick up the girls...oh boy could I go on and on! You get the point! If I had the IP, I could set it and go! Dinner ready!
My daughter-in- law "Sweet One" is sold on the Instant Pot! I can take full credit when I made Crispy Pork Carnita's for them a few weeks ago. She ordered hers "instantly"!!
While I was on holiday in Europe, she made a few things that she has added to her weekly dinner plan. And, while we are "glamping" in Lake Chelan, she made us one of her new favorites! Even I, was tapping my foot wondering, isn't dinner going to be late? NO!!!! 25 minutes start to finish! Delish!
1 lb ground beef
1 lb. ground sausage
1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. onion powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 lb. spaghetti noodles
1 36 ounce jar of Spaghetti sauce
36 ounces of water
Set the Instant Pot to saute, and brown the ground beef and sausage together with the onion powder, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and salt. Breaking the meat up as it cooks.
Turn off the IP and pour out the excess fats.
Break the noodles in half and place on top of the meat in the IP. Pour in the sauce and water. Push the noodles down with your spoon, making sure it is totally covered and break up the noodles a little to separate.
|Lots of assistance is needed here!
Seal the Instant Pot and put the valve to closed. Push the manual, high pressure and time to 8 minutes. When finished turn the valve to Quick Release.
|And the recipe is not complete without some antics by Cooper with the insta-mitts!
Open the Instant Pot and stir once more. "Al Dente'" Perfect!
And Cooper found another use for the insta-mitts! Stick gathering!!
